Back in the swing of things in 3rd-5th

Welcome to a new year in Spanish !!

Below are some topics that will be taught throughout the year with the big questions of:

1. How are languages similar and different?

2. How are the different ways we can communicate?

3. Why should we learn another language?

** We will be using inquiry/ asking questions to learn about things we are interested in and curious about, so new topics can come up all of the time based on interest. Lessons and projects are then created based on student desires with the teacher there to guide them through the process of finding out more and synthesizing information.

** We will also have a focus on science and non-fiction topics to strengthen those skills even in the Spanish classroom.

**Students will self-monitor their own progress in language acquisition and set their own achievable goals.

**Students will HAVE FUN!
